CONNIE CHIUME: ‘FOUR YEARS IS A LONG TIME’
The former Rythm City actress Connie Chiume, who plays MamSonto in Gomora revealed to TshisaLIVE that she’s going to miss the people she worked with.
Chiume added that Gomora’s cast and crew became a big family after working together for four years as they’ve bonded and got to understand one another.
The actress added that she will also miss the team that they were working with, from actors to the crew and they worked with very professional people. They made sure the stories that were written appeared as they are on scree.
“That’s why Gomora, even after four years as it is ending, it is still on the number one spot.”
The veteran actress also said she enjoyed playing the villainous character [MamSonto] that was unfamiliar to her.

DSTV CANCELS ‘GOMORA’
TVSA reported in April that M-Net confirmed Gomora will end in October 2023 as they strive to keep abreast of changing consumer viewership preferences.
Shirley Adonisi, who is Director of Local Entertainment Channels at M-Net revealed that they are committed to bringing the best content to their viewers and have to be responsive to their changing needs and preferences.
The telenovela executive producer Leanne Khumalo from Seriti Films production revealed that they’ve had an incredible journey, paved with many special milestones and memories.
Khumalo added that the show debuted on 30 March 2020 on the brink of lockdow, they formed a special bond and grew into a family and this power dynamic was shared and experienced on screen.
