IFANI THE BEGINNING
The 37-year-old musician from the Eastern Cape, best known by his stage name iFani, revealed that the pressure of fame and success had taken a toll on his mental and emotional well-being, reports Opera News. This led him to step away from the limelight. During the peak of his career, iFani had tremendous success with hit singles like ‘Ewe‘ and ‘Shake‘ between 2012 and 2014.
However, despite breaking records and earning accolades, he confessed that he didn’t find joy during that period. The overwhelming demands, constant bookings, and the pressure to keep up with the industry’s expectations became too much for him to handle.
