Gordhan dispels distortions, plans ahead with SOC restructuring
Gordhan stated that their work won’t be stopped from rejuvenating SOCs, fighting corruption, and enabling economic transformation in South Africa.
Pravin Gordhan, Minister of Public Enterprises(DPE), criticises distortions of Eskom’s restructuring by vested interests, aiming to discredit him and government efforts.
He stated that truth-seekers should read DPE’s recent statement addressing false claims about Eskom’s restructuring.
“From that statement, some elements have been chosen to peddle lies,” said Gordhan.

The statement reaffirmed that the State will maintain full ownership of Eskom’s three new subsidiaries, without any changes.

GORDHAN DEMANDS PUBLIC APOLOGY FROM COLLEN MALATJI
Gordhan demanded a public apology from Collen Malatji for recent attacks made by him.

“Recent attacks by counter-revolutionaries and discredited figures highlight that the public should be aware of vested interests hindering SOC reforms, negatively affecting South Africans.”
Gordhan has since said that he will be meeting with the ANC Youth League shortly.

The Minister stated that their work won’t be stopped from rejuvenating SOCs, fighting corruption, and enabling economic transformation in South Africa.
“We have not solved the problem of corruption, what we are doing is about serving current and future generations.”

“The latest misinformation is further evidence that there is a concerted campaign involving people with vested interest.”
“They only care about lining their pockets, and are intent on sowing confusion,” said Gordhan.
THEIR CAMPAIGN WILL FAIL
“This campaign of misinformation, just like the ones before it, is going to fail,” he said.
