According to Netwerk24, Coetzee was reportedly kidnapped by the Paraguayan People’s Army, a so-called Marxist-Leninist guerrilla group that are allegedly responsible for a series of kidnappings and crimes in the country.
The family was informed on Sunday about the kidnapping, which apparently took place when Danie and his wife Martie went for a walk on their farm. He had apparently taken a longer route and walked ahead.
