SCAMMING ALLEGATIONS AND ISIKEBHE VANDALISATION
Buthelezi is accused of scamming the Msibi family in Nquthu, KwaZulu-Natal (KZN), out of R600 000 through his poultry investment scheme called Abombuso Investment. The agreement was that the investors would sell chickens and eggs for 100 percent returns after three months. However, this allegedly did not happen.

As a results of these accusations and more from other Ukhozi FM listeners, the SABC radio station fired Buthelezi for bringing the station into disrepute last year. He hosted the gospel show, Indumiso, on Sundays.
On Monday, the businessman was captured and his parents’ home in Nkandla, KZN, vandalised by an anti-crime forum called Isikebhe which forced entry. The former radio presenter was said to have been hiding in the house when the incident took place. He was accused by the vigilante group of dodging three meetings with them.

To help him pay back the money he promised to pay, according to Daily Sun, Thabani Dlamini started a crowd funding initiative on Facebook where he has asked the public to donate. Dlamini, who is a fan of the radio presenter, shared the banking details for people who would love contribute.
“I realised that a lot of people sympathised with him. That’s why I asked them to donate R100 but many are donating more than that,” he said.

Dlamini said that through his motivational speaking and radio presenter, Buthelezi has helped many people build their lives so he felt that it was time to give back.
SBU BUTHELEZI’S PROMISE TO PAY
In a recording, Buthelezi said “I promised that on 30 June, I will pay half of the amount that I owe them, then I will pay the balance on 15 July. I will deposit it in the Isikebhe bank account.”
Isikebhe deputy president, Zakhele Mncube, said that there will be dire consequences should he not pay the money.
“If he doesn’t pay as promised, the worst will happen to him.
“We spoke to him the Isikebhe way and he apologised and promised to pay back the money. After reaching an agreement, we took him to the police station to sign the agreement that he will pay and we then let him go,” he said.
