Following media reports that goalkeeper Reyaad Pieterse is on his way out of Mamelodi Sundowns, his agent has exclusively confirmed that he is not leaving just yet.
Pieterse deputised for number one gloveman, Ronwen Williams last season and this raised speculation that the former Kaizer Chiefs star is leaving Sundowns, but he is going nowhere.

Speaking to The South African, Med8 Sports Director Gary Cassisa said his client is going nowhere and his mission is to challenge the Bafana Bafana number one keeper, Williams.
KEEPER PIETERSE NOT LEAVING SUNDOWNS
Various media outlets published that the former SuperSport United keeper, Pieterse was set to be sacrificed considering the fact that Sundowns have a lot of players in their goalkeeping department.

Masandawana have Williams, Pieterse, Denis Onyango, Ricardo Goss and Jody February who were both loaned out to SuperSport and AmaZulu respectively.
In addition, the reigning DStv Premiership champions, Sundowns also have a veteran shot stopper in Kennedy Mweene who is close to retirement and becoming a keeper coach within the club.
With Goss and February having returned from their loan spells, speculation is rife that Pieterse could be sacrificed, however, Cassisa has a different update.

“As far as I know, Reyaad is staying at Sundowns. He is ready to push Williams,” Cassisa told The South African.
“How much longer do you think Williams’ body will last with all that game time and national team duties?”
Taking a glance at Pieterse’ last season’s contribution, the 31-year-old played in three competitive matches for Sundowns across all competitons.
PIRATES RETAIN MPONTSHANE AND OFORI
While Pieterse was also linked with a move to Pirates during the January transfer window, it seems he will not make his move anytime soon.
This comes as Pirates announced on Friday that Siyabonga Mpontshane and Richard Ofori are staying at the club.

Reports surfaced towards the end of the previous season that coach Jose Riveiro was looking to release the duo after signing Melusi Buthelezi from TS Galaxy.
On Friday, The South African posted that Ofori and Mpontshane will NOT be leaving Pirates at least until June 2024, according to a statement released by the club.

Ofori has penned a new one-year deal with an option to renew for a further year while Mpontshane has signed a straight one-year deal.
For now, it remains to be seen if Sundowns will retain Pieterse, Goss, and February as they will have a hectic schedule next season.
