Power utility Eskom on Thursday confirmed that further improvements to generation capacity have allowed it to keep load shedding suspended until further notice.
That bodes well for South Africans with the three-day long weekend ahead.
Eskom added in a social media post that it would ‘communicate should any significant changes occur’.
The news comes as demand has dropped in recent days due to industries shutting down for the festive period.
