Eskom’s scheduled maintenance will lead to a 14-hour power outage in Johannesburg on Friday, 29 November.

Lonehill residents in Johannesburg will experience a 14-hour power outage as part of Eskom’s scheduled maintenance.

The maintenance is scheduled for Friday, 29 November, from 8:00 – 22:00.

JOHANNESBURG SUBURB AFFECTED BY ESKOM PLANNED POWER OUTAGE

The power utility said there will be electricity supply disruption in Lonehill due to maintenance that will be conducted on the distribution network.

“The interruption in electricity supply is necessary to perform essential maintenance on our distribution power lines,” Eskom said.

The power outage will affect customers in Lonehill on Friday, 29 November, from 8:00 – 22:00.

Eskom said the interruption of electricity is necessary to perform essential maintenance on its distribution power lines. However, should any circumstances beyond its control arise, the planned electricity maintenance may not proceed.

CUSTOMERS URGED TO TREAT ELECTRICAL APPLIANCES AS LIVE

In the interest of safety, Eskom said customers should treat all electrical appliances as live at all times during the power outage.

“Eskom apologises for any inconvenience that may be caused by this maintenance. Should circumstances beyond the control of Eskom arise, the planned electricity maintenance may not proceed as communicated,” the power utility added.

In addition, Eskom said should circumstances beyond its control, the planned power outage in Gauteng may not proceed as communicated.
