With just over a month to go until the 2023 Rugby World Cup, the Springboks are scheduled to announce their 33-man squad for the global showpiece next Tuesday.

The Springboks have just completed their shortened Rugby Championship campaign, with victories over Australia and Argentina and a defeat to the All Blacks.

They will now play three World Cup warm-up fixtures, against Argentina in Buenos Aires, Wales in Cardiff and the All Blacks in London, before the real deal in France, where the Springboks have been grouped with Scotland, Ireland, Tonga and Romania in Pool B.

REVEALED: D-DAY FOR BOK RWC SQUAD ANNOUNCEMENT

Counting down from today, the 33-man Springbok squad that’ll be send to defend South Africa’s Webb Ellis title at the World Cup, will be named in exactly eight days from today.

The Springboks’ head of operations Charles Wessels had previously confirmed that the final group to board the plane to France will be finalised and revealed on Tuesday, 8 August.

✈ 8 July: South Africa beat Australia 43-12 (Loftus Versfeld, Pretoria)

✈ 15 July: South Africa lost to New Zealand 35-20 (Auckland)

✈ 29 July: Springboks beat Argentina 22-21 (Ellis Park, Johannesburg)

World Cup warm-ups:

✈ 5 August: South Africa vs Argentina (Vélez Stadium, Buenos Aires)

✈ 19 August: Springboks vs Wales (Millennium Stadium, Cardiff)

✈ 25 August: South Africa vs New Zealand (Twickenham Stadium, London)

Rugby World Cup:

✈ 10 September: South Africa vs Scotland (Stade Vélodrome, Marseille)

✈ 17 September: Springboks vs Romania (Stade de Bordeaux, Bordeaux)
