Eben Etzebeth moves up all-time Springbok Tests played list

Eben Etzebeth will pass John Smit in the list of most Tests played for the Springboks on Saturday, 29 July at Ellis Park.

Etzebeth was named in the starting team on Tuesday and will play his 112th Test, moving into sole fourth place in the all-time list.

Etzebeth made his Springbok debut against England in June 2012 in Durban.

In his 111 Tests to date, he’s scored 20 points (four tries).

Still only 31-years-old, Etzebeth still have several years ahead in which to overtake Victor Matfield’s record 127 Tests in the green and gold jersey.
