Durban police has seized a large quantity of drugs from a flat on the beachfront. Acting off a tip-off the drugs were said to be earmarked for the streets of Durban.

MULTIPLE DRUGS SEIZED
KwaZulu-Natal police spokesperson Robert Netshiunda says the team identified and raided the flat and discovered at least three different types of drugs.

“7500 ecstasy tablets as well as suspected cocaine and ephedrine powder were found inside the flat” says Netshiunda.
“The estimated street value is R1,2million” he added.
Police are currently in search for the suspect who rented the flat.

UMKOMAAS DRUG LAB
The drug bust follows a recent bust by police in Umkomaas South of Durban where police stumbled onto a dagga lab worth R10 million on Sunday afternoon.
Netshiunda says police were doing routine patrols when they came upon the lab.
Two suspects aged 30 and 33 found to be operating the clandestine hydroponic dagga lab were arrested.

Police found 1200 dagga plant on the farm in Fountains Head.
Netshiunda says they are closing in on the third suspect who is believed to be the owner of the dagga lab.
