Haashim Domingo’s agent Lance Davids has confirmed that his client is leaving Mamelodi Sundowns as negotiations broke down.
Information circulating in the media indicates that Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder Haashim Domingo is leaving the club after three seasons.
The South African understands that Domingo is leaving the club after negotiations between Sundowns and his camp broke down.

Domingo is rumoured to have seen his demands turned down by the DStv Premiership champions, Sundowns, and his agent has since confirmed the news.
MIDFIELDER DOMINGO LEAVING SUNDOWNS
After seeing his career stalling owing to a spate of injuries at the Chloorkop-based Sundowns, Domingo is now a free agent and he is available to join a club of his choice as he is leaving.
His handler and former footballer, Lance Davids, was speaking to the public broadcaster, SABC Sport, and stated they could not reach an agreement with Sundowns.

The representative who is part of Football First, said his client was keen to stay with the CAF Champions League semi-finalists, but Domingo is seemingly not part of the club’s future plans.
“We could not agree on new terms and I can confirm to you Haashim is a free agent as things stand,” said Davids.

“To be honest, he wanted to stay – he loves it there and has won three league titles since he joined Sundowns. But following a conversation with the sporting director, Mr. Flemming Berg, we could not come to the same conclusion.”
DOMINGO’S AGENT CONFIRMS ADMIRATION BY MOKWENA
It is no secret that coach Rulani Mokwena highly rates the hard-working midfielder but there’s a high possibility that Domingo will not struggle to find a new football home.

According to Davids, he could not reach an agreement with Sundowns sporting director, Berg as he looked to extend Domingo’s contract.
“We exhausted all our options with Sundowns because we want what is best for the player and we know how much the coach admires him considering his age and what the technical team is building there,” added Davids.

The 27-year-old former Bidvest Wits midfielder made his way to Masandawana three seasons ago as he joined with the likes of Clever Boys teammates, goalkeeper Ricardo Goss as well as hitman Gift Motupa.
While the rules indicate that Domingo’s camp will look to find a club for him in the next transfer window which opens next month, Sundowns may still open fresh talks and possibly retain him.
Looking at his contribution, the talented midfielder featured in more than 50 appearances for Sundowns, netting five goals including six assists.
