The industrious midfielder has been identified as a target by the reigning MTN8 champions, Pirates but it seems the deal is off.

A social media post by a football publication indicates that the nippy Bafana Bafana star, Aubaas is not heading to Pirates to join coach Jose Riveiro’s troops.

PIRATES DEAL CALLED OFF FOR BAFANA STAR
According to Rush Sports On’s Twitter post, the deal between Galaxy and Pirates is now called off as it hit a snag, The South African has gathered.
Per the post, Aubaas is currently in pre-season training with the Mbombela-based Rockets at Sturrock Park in Johannesburg.

“DEAL OFF: The deal between TS Galaxy and #OrlandoPirates is off for now. According to our sources, TS Galaxy overpriced Bafana Bafana star Bathusi Aubaas. #Rushsportson can confirm Aubaas is now back in TS Galaxy pre-season training at Sturrock Park,” reads the tweet.

AUBAAS CONFIRMS NO APPROACH FROM THE BUCCANEERS
As recently published by The South African, the Bafana midfielder who was part of coach Hugo Broos’ squad that faced Morocco last month, Aubaas said he is under contract at Galaxy.

In a shocking move by SAFA, the midfielder was listed as a Pirates player before making his Bafana debut against the Atlas Lions at FNB Stadium but this was quickly refuted as an error.
Reacting to the links with the Buccaneers, Aubaas said he hasn’t heard anything about any move elsewhere, with the speculation linked to Pirates having left him “overwhelmed with pressure”.
“I’m leaving my future in the hands of my agent and chairman, Tim Sukazi, as I am overwhelmed with numerous calls and immense pressure,” he stated on Radio2000.

“I signed a new deal with TS Galaxy last year. However, the constant phone calls and pressure have become overwhelming.”
