Beloved broadcaster and author Eusebius McKaiser’s friend, Redi Thlabi says he did not die because he took the Covid-19 vaccine as many on social media have claimed following his sudden passing.
The former Radio 702 host revealed this during McKaiser’s memorial service which was held in Johannesburg on Tuesday, 6 June.
COVID VACCINE DIDN’T CLAIM EUSEBIUS MCKAISER’S LIFE
McKaiser passed away a week ago from a suspected epileptic seizure. Friends, colleagues and loved ones gathered to celebrate and honour his life.
An emotional Thlabi who was among the speakers delivered a moving tribute as she spoke about her friendship with the renowned author and analyst.

Thlabi revealed that McKaiser was diagnosed with epilepsy in 2008 and endured multiple hospitalisations because of his condition that he did not speak about publicly.
“When we say he died suddenly there’s a context, it means he was fine that morning. He went about his business, he was tweeting and he was working. That that has created a tectonic shift in our lives, that was sudden. He has been living with epilepsy since 2008,” she explained.
“There were moments of hospitalisation that he didn’t share, Nduduzo (Nyanda) stepped up to the plate and handled it all with so much grace and generosity. He was stoic in those moments. Just because he didn’t tweet about it doesn’t mean it didn’t happen,” she continued to share.
