The Springbok captain is currently recovering from knee surgery, and as the crowd caught sight of him on the big screen, the reaction was immensely wholesome as the crowed went wild – drawing a warm smile from Kolisi.
Kolisi is of course one of the Stormers’ favourite sons, having played in the Cape for the better part of a decade between 2010 and 2020.
Saturday’s crowd in Cape Town also reserved a special cheer for another Stormers legend Schalk Burger, but the roar that reverberated around the stadium when Kolisi appeared was something special.
