Bus accident kills NINE ANC supporters from KZN manifesto

A tragic bus accident has claimed the lives of nine people returning from the ANC manifesto launch on Saturday in KwaZulu-Natal.

Nine comrades traveling from the recently held African National Congress (ANC) manifesto in Durban have tragically passed away in a fatal road accident in KwaZulu Natal.

NINE COMRADES DIE RETURNING FROM ANC MANIFESTO, NETIZENS REACT

An X (the social media platform previously known as Twitter) user took to their timelines and broke the news on the social media platform.

“9 comrades traveling to Mpumalanga from ANC manifesto launch died in a bus accident,” the X user wrote.

“Condolences to families & may the souls of departed comrades rest in peace,” the social media user added.

The ANC has also broken its silence on the matter. Taking to their timelines, they penned: “The African National Congress (ANC) has received with profound shock the news of the untimely passing of our members from Mpumalanga Province.”

“Tragically, our comrades were involved in a bus accident in Dumbe, KwaZulu-Natal, in the early hours of the morning while returning from the ANC’s highly successful launch of our elections manifesto – Mayihlome Rally 2024,” the governing party confirmed.

“This is a concern, last month it was a bus from Limpopo, today it’s another from Mpumalanga,” @darrenmoeketsi wrote

“You couldn’t fill the stadium with KZN people then you had to resort to busing poor people from all around the world and send them to their early graves all in the name of filling a stadium 🏟️,” @MafambaT added.
