Here are all your important South African government links, so you won’t be left alone wondering who to contact if you need assistance. Following weeks of tough negotiations within the Government of National Unity (GNU), President Cyril Ramaphosa has announced his 77-member Cabinet. And now that all the new Ministers and their deputies have been sworn in, everyone can knuckle-down and get on with the job of leading the country.

If you’re worried about finding yourself in an emergency, having quick access to these numbers could save your life:

  • South African Police Service emergency dispatch (nationwide) can be reached at 10111. Or call 112 from any mobile phone for SAPS-related emergencies. Likewise, check out the SAPS nationwide station list HERE to find your closest station.
  • If you don’t have personal medical aid and require an ambulance, the national ambulance service is available by calling 10177. Or by calling 112 from a mobile phone and asking for help. Netcare offers private ambulances at 082 911, just beware the cost.
