South Africa ranks in Top 50 of Best Countries in the world
A 2024 ranking by US News & World Report has placed South Africa in the Top 50 Best Countries in the world.

South Africa has ranked in the Top 50 on the list of Best Countries for 2024.
According to a recent survey by US News & World Report, who sought to examine a nation’s worth beyond hard metrics.
The rankings were based on how global perceptions define countries in terms of a number of qualitative characteristics, which were impressions that have the potential to drive trade, travel and investment, and can directly affect national economies. A total of 89 countries were surveyed for the study.
“A set of 73 country attributes – terms that can be used to describe a country that are also relevant to the success of a modern nation – were identified. Various attributes and nations were presented in a survey of nearly 17,000 people from across the globe from March 22 to May 23. Participants assessed whether they associated an attribute with a nation.” US News & World Report said.
According to the survey, South Africa didn’t fare too badly, placing at number 40 on the list.
Switzerland took the top spot, with Japan and the United Stated placing third and fourth respectively.
