De Ruyter left Eskom shortly after a sensational interview with eNCA’s Annika Larsen on 21 February during an edition of My Guest Tonight.
During the interview De Ruyter made several jaw-dropping claims.
Now, less than two months later, De Ruyter has sat down again, this time for an interview with Carte Blanche – which airs every Sunday at 19:00 (SA time).

From a secret location, De Ruyter talks to Carte Blanche presenter Bongani Bingwa about the Eskom intelligence files.
“I did not solve load shedding. I did not address all of the corruption. But I did make a good start in solving energy security,” De Ruyter says in a snippet from Sunday’s interview.
Carte Blanche is a South African investigative journalism television series which airs on M-Net every Sunday.
Its first episode aired on 21 August 1988 and over the last 34-plus years has earned credibility amongst South African viewers for its investigation into corruption, consumer issues and current events.
