According to a source known to FARPost, Pirates stand a good chance to sign Jali who spent four years with them between 2009 and 2013.
Jali is currently a free agent following his departure from Sundowns, and he’s been linked with several clubs including Stellenbosch FC, AmaZulu and Cape Town City.

However, the publication reports that Pirates are in pole position to bring him back on a short-term deal come next season.
ANDILE JALI LINKED WITH SENSATIONAL ORLANDO PIRATES RETURN
“It’s a short-term deal they’re offering. Pirates stand a better chance because he prefers to be in Gauteng. Should they agree on the monetary part of the deal, it’s all pointing to Pirates. Stellenbosch did express interest, and it was clear they couldn’t meet his salary demands,” said the source.
TWO OPTIONS FOR ANDILE JALI?
Meanwhile, Jali has just two options for his next move according to the latest reports around the former Sundowns midfielder.

Jali has reportedly turned down an offer from Wydad Casablanca preferring to stay in South Africa. This comes from the fresh reports from KickOff.
He has done his time abroad and will now choose between Orlando Pirates and Cape Town City if the reports are to be believed.
Kaizer Chiefs were strongly linked with the midfielder but ended their interest when news of Jali’s disciplinary issues at Sundowns came to light.

According to goal.com, Jali’s agent Mike Makaab is set to sit down with the Pirates chairman Irvin Khoza.
