The African National Congress in Limpopo has officially announced the top five executive committee on Sunday.
This follows the electoral conference that is underway in the province.
Premier Stan Mathabatha, who still remains in his position, was unopposed as provincial chairperson.
Florence Radzilani has been elected as his deputy, while Soviet Lekganyane is the provincial secretary; Basikopo Mkamau is the new deputy secretary and Danny Msiza the province’s treasurer.
There were arguments on Saturday in the High Court in Johannesburg, where Advocate Dali Mpofu was representing disgruntled ANC members.
Some of the ANC members were requesting the court to stop the party’s provincial conference in Limpopo.
On the other side ANC Secretary General Ace Magashule condemned the four disgruntled members who approached the South Gauteng Court to have the conference postponed. He said the matter could have been resolved within the party.
Meanwhile other delegates who lost in the top five will have another opportunity to contest in the 20 additional members that will be voted on.
It is reported that President Cyril Ramaphosa may join the conference before it comes to an end.
