An ANC councillor in Limpopo was caught red-handed selling fake travel permits to people for as much as R800, according to the National Prosecuting Authority.
Less than two weeks ago, another ANC councillor in Limpopo was arrested for breaking the lockdown regulations by having a birthday party, videos of which were posted online.
In the latest arrest, Cybert Kabelo Ramodisha appeared in the Giyani Magistrate’s Court today for selling and issuing fraudulent permits of movement to other provinces, the NPA said in a statement.
After reacting to information from informants in the community the NPA went to Ramodisha’s address in Makgakgapaji Village and found three people waiting for fake permits.
