AKA murder suspects case in eSwatini postponed

The case against the Ndimande brothers, just two of the seven AKA murder suspects, has been postponed to 12 March.

The case against two suspects arrested for the alleged involvement in the murder of award-winning rapper Kiernan ‘AKA’ Forbes in Eswatini Malusi and Siyabonga Ndimande has been postponed to 12 March . The AKA murder suspects appeared in the Manzini Magistrate’s Court on Tuesday, 5 March.

AKA MURDER SUSPECTS APPEAR IN ESWATINI COURT

Malusi and Siyabonga Ndimande wore hoodies in court and hid their faces as they were facing down in the dock during the proceedings.

They will be remanded in custody until the next appearance on Tuesday, 12 March.

The National Director of Public Prosecutions (NDPP) in South Africa is yet to file an application for extradition.

On Monday, the lawyer representing the two brothers, Sivesonke Ngwenya, said that they have yet to receive a comprehensive application for an extradition process.

OTHER ACCUSED TO RETURN TO COURT ON 6 MARCH

Meanwhile, the other five suspects appeared in the Durban Magistrate’s Court on Thursday, 29 February.

The matter was postponed to 6 March for bail application purposes.

“On 14 March it will then be postponed to 18 and 19 March. It is foreseeable that we wont be able to finalise the matter on these two days. It will then be postponed to 27 March for bail application purposes,” the magistrate explained.
