Air Seychelles will soon be increasing flights to Johannesburg in a bid to meet seasonal demand. Here are the details…
Air Seychelles increases Johannesburg flights
In an effort to meet rising demand for flights, Air Seychelles has announced an increase in frequencies to Johannesburg over the upcoming festive season.
According to reports, the airline will add a fourth flight on Saturdays between 21 December and 4 January, 2025. The return flight to the Seychelles will also be on Saturdays.
Air Seychelles currently operates three flights along the route, on Tuesday, Friday and Sunday.
Seasonal Paris-Cape Town route returns
And Air Seychelles isn’t the only carrier to up frequencies ahead of the festive season.
Air France recently announced the return of its popular seasonal direct flight service between Cape Town International Airport (CPT) and Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport (CDG).
In response to strong demand from both business and leisure travellers, the airline began operating three weekly flights starting 7 October, with an additional flight scheduled to be added from November, just in time for the busy holiday season.
More KLM flights to Cape Town too
KLM Royal Dutch Airlines also recently announced its enhanced winter schedule, starting 27 October to 30 March, 2025, which will cater to both business and leisure travellers and offer the opportunity to explore 220 destinations worldwide.
Included in this winter schedule will be even more flights to the Mother City, the airline revealed.
KLM will continue with its daily services to Johannesburg and Cape Town, but from 17 December this year until the end of the winter season, KLM will increase its capacity to Cape Town with two additional flights per week on Tuesdays and Sundays.
In addition to the current daily flights, Flight KL597/598, which arrives in Cape Town at 21:30 and departs at 23:20, KLM will introduce Flight KL595/596. This new service will arrive at 06:10 and depart at 08:05 on Mondays and Wednesdays starting 17 December.
