Air France to roll out free WiFi on flights
Air France recently announced that it will soon launch free WiFi on board its flights from next year. Here are the details…
Air France to introduce free WiFi
Air France will be rolling out its new ultra-high-speed on-board WiFi service next year, which they’ve partnered with Starlink to provide.
As reported by Travel News, the new service will be accessible to all customers by logging into their Flying Blue account (which can be created free of charge), although Première customers will be able to connect directly. The WiFi will also be free of charge in all travel cabins.
The service will be accessible on most devices, including smartphones, digital tablets, and laptops, and each customer will be able to connect several devices simultaneously.
The airline has said that it will gradually equip all its aircraft with the new WiFi service, including its regional fleet.
Paris-Cape Town route makes a comeback
In other news from Air France, the airline will soon resume its popular seasonal direct flight service between Cape Town International Airport (CPT) and Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport (CDG).
In response to strong demand from both business and leisure travellers, the airline will operate three weekly flights starting 7 October, with an additional flight scheduled to be added from November, just in time for the busy holiday season.
The reintroduction of these flights will offer passengers seamless travel between Cape Town and Paris, providing access to one of the most iconic cities in Europe, and from there, connecting to Air France’s global network.
“We are thrilled to bring back our seasonal Paris-Cape Town service, providing South African travellers with more flexibility and convenience, especially as the holiday season approaches. The direct connection between Cape Town and Paris not only enhances travel opportunities but also strengthens the bond between South Africa and France, allowing travellers to experience the best both countries have to offer.” Wilson Tauro, Country Manager Southern Africa at Air France-KLM said.
