The world is mourning after the untimely death of US singer and pop icon Tina Turner on 25 May 2023 in Switzerland, aged 83.
The late pop icon is best known for smash hits from her solo album Private Dancer, released in 1984 after her divorce from Ike Turner in 1978.
With a career spanning years, the pop icon became one of the most celebrated musicians in the world.

TINA TURNER’S STAEFA MANSION
However, in 2013, she became a Swiss citizen and tied the knot with German music producer Erwin Bach.
Daily Mail has reported that two years ago, Turner and her husband splurged $76 million (R1.4 billion) on a 260 000 square-foot estate comprising 10 buildings overlooking Lake Zurich in Staefa.

The couple had to wait longer to purchase the sprawling estate. Their purchase was delayed because they had to receive their official Swiss citizenship since nonresidents could not buy property there.
According to reports, tennis superstar Roger Federer once considered purchasing the property before opting for another estate within the same community of Staefa Village.

Tina Turner and Erwin Bach reportedly bought the mega-mansion as a ‘weekend retreat.’ It is a perfect weekend getaway destination thanks to its private stream and pond. It also boasts a swimming pool and boat deck.
Despite boasting 10 buildings, little is known about the estate.
However, before the billion-rand purchase, the power couple rented out the famous Chateau Algonquin house near Kuesnacht. Unconfirmed reports have it that Tina Turner has several properties under her name across Europe.
