Verstappen prefers to dominate than battle Lewis Hamilton for title
Both Max Verstappen and Red Bull say they rather dominate the sport than have a championship fight with Lewis Hamilton or other rivals.
Max Verstappen has admitted that he prefers to dominate his rivals over having to battle for the championship until the very end.
The two-time Formula One had a fierce rivalry with Lewis Hamilton in 2021 which went down until the last lap of the season.

The 25-year-old Dutchman controversially won the title to end Hamilton’s F1 dominance. Since that victory, he has dominated the sport, winning 26 races since that Abu Dhabi race that got him his first title, and ironically, Hamilton has never won a race since then.
VERSTAPPEN ENJOYING DOMINANCE
Red Bull Racing is enjoying an extremely dominant period in F1 and have now won all 13 races so far with nine more races to go, the Austrian team are favourites to complete a clean sweep.

When asked by Sky Sports whether he would prefer a battle like 2021 over his current dominance, Verstappen said he enjoys dominating.
“I have a lot more fun now. This is what I like to do. I like to win, I like to dominate, I like to work with the people I’m working with,” he said.
“It’s very enjoyable. And I always want more. And people think it gets boring for me when I’m leading, but absolutely not. That’s what I wanted to do from a very young age and I always wanted to be there.”
Despite his dominance, Verstappen enjoys securing poles and driving into the sunset over wheel-to-wheel battles which Michael Schumacher and Hamilton preferred.

Red Bull team principal Christian Horner shares the same sentiment.
“There’s not one ounce of me, I think I’m still in recovery from 2021,” said Horner when he was asked if he wanted to see Verstappen and Hamilton fight for the championship.
RED BULL HAVE WON 13 RACES SO FAR THIS SEASON
Verstappen won his ninth successive race equaling Sebastian Vettel’s record. The Dutchman is 138 points ahead of teammate Sergio Perez and could win the title in the next few races.
