“Our story isn’t finished” – Lewis Hamilton after extending contract

Lewis Hamilton, regarded by many to be the greatest F1 driver of all time, says he is still hungry and determined to win.

Lewis Hamilton has signed a new Mercedes contract that will keep them in Formula One until 2025.

The seven-time world champion was linked with a move to Ferrari in recent months but on Thursday, he reiterated that he was committed to the Brackley team.

Hamilton(38) and his teammate George Russell were retained until the 2025 season.

MERCEDES DRIVER LEWIS HAMILTON HAS UNFINISHED BUSINESS

The British doriver joined Mercedes back in 2013 and gone on to set a host of records, from championship wins (tied with Michael Schumacher on seven) to pole positions (104), race wins (103) and much more.

“We dream every day of being the best and we have dedicated the past decade together to achieving that goal,” said Hamilton.

“Being at the top does not happen overnight or over a short period, it takes commitment, hard work and dedication and it’s been an honour to earn our way into the history books with this incredible team.”

Lewis Hamilton, regarded by many as the greatest F1 driver of all time, has secured six World Drivers’ Championships and eight World Constructors’ with Mercedes in 10 years.

“We have never been hungrier to win. We continue to chase our dreams, we continue to fight no matter the challenge and we will win again,” he said.

Our story isn’t finished, we are determined to achieve more together and we won’t stop until we do,” Hamilton added.

Formula One returns this weekend to Monza with the race taking place on Sunday afternoon.
