Hamilton to visit Merc factory to see if his requested changes were made
Lewis Hamilton is taking matters into his hands after Mercedes failed to challenge Red Bull for the second successive season.
Seven-time Formula 1 driver Lewis Hamilton is set to visit Mercedes headquarters in Brackley to see how the team’s W15 car is developing.
The British driver has asked the Mercedes engineers and designers to implement the W15 in a direction that copies the 2023 Red Bull (RB19) model.

Hamilton, widely regarded as the greatest F1 driver of all time, is seeking his record 8th F1 title which will see him eclipse Michael Schumacher. The 38-year-old dominated the sport from 2014 to 2021 but was controversially denied his 8th title in the final race of the 2021 season.
LEWIS HAMILTON TAKING MATTERS INTO HIS HANDS
Since the 2022 season, Hamilton has not won a race in 38 attempts largely due to Mercedes’ poor performance since the ground effect era was introduced.

This week, Hamilton will have a look at the 2024 W15 car in the wind tunnel, and also to see if the engineers and designers have implemented his feedback on the car.
Mercedes was a second slower than Red Bull’s Max Verstappen at the Japanese GP qualifying and during the race, the Brackley-based team was nowhere near the top as they were even beaten by customer team McLaren.
Lewis worrried about Mercedes’ progress.
Hamilton believes that Mercedes should go the Red Bull route in order to extract the car’s hidden performance. The British is third in the F1 driver’s standing this season but is just 33 points shy of Sergio Peres of Red Bull
F1 returns next week in Qatar.
