Anyone who relies on the South African Social Security Agency will be happy about the 2024 SASSA grant increases. More many, this time of year from the festive season into ‘Janu-worry’ is one of the trickiest to survive.

Thankfully, according to the security agency website, 2024 grant increases that came into effect back on 1 October 2023, will at least go some way to making the festive season more liveable.

2024 SASSA GRANT INCREASES
You can follow the link HERE to find out payment dates in 2024. Nevertheless, for the duration of 2024 – presumably until 1 October 2024 when the next increase will be initiated – the grants are as follows:

- SASSA old-age pension grants increased to R2090 for recipients between 60 and 74 years old and R2110 for recipients between over 75 years old (an increase of R10 each).
- The SASSA Disability Grant increased to R2090, also an increase of R10.
- SASSA Child Support Grant went up to R510, an increase of R10.
- Foster Child Grant from SASSA now sit at R1130, this is an increase of R10.
- There was a R10 increase to SASSA grants for Child Care Dependency. The amount is now R2090.
- The SASSA War Veterans Grant increased to R2110, another R10 rise.
- Grant-In-Aid from SASSA increased to R510, this was also an increase of R10.
- Only the Child Support Grant Top-Up remains unchanged at R250 for 2024.

- Supply all relevant personal details.
- Mobile phone number.
- All your employment and lifestyle sustainability information.
- Input your banking details to receive your monthly grant.
