WHY PRINCE GEORGE MIGHT CHANGE HIS NAME WHEN HE TAKES THE THRONE
According to The Sun, British monarchs can choose to use a name other than their first name when crowned. As per the publication, previous members of the Firm have chosen to be sworn in by one of their middle names instead. This is done as per an age-old royal tradition.
King Charles and the late Queen Elizabeth chose to use their first names as their “Regnal Names.” But 10-year-old Prince George might decide not to do so when his time comes.
King Charles could have opted to be known as King Arthur, King Phillip, or King George. The late Queen Elizabeth could have chosen Queen Alexandra or Queen Mary. Using the name, George would have been an apt nod to his grandparents, King George VI and the Queen Mother.
Before the King’s coronation, there were widespread rumours that he would opt to use one of his middle names instead of Charles. As per Town and Country, the previous two rulers who used the name weren’t all that lucky during their reign.

A NAME FIT FOR ROYALTY
The eldest son of the Prince and Princess of Wales could decide to be named King Alexander or King Louis, should he wish. But, with his younger brother named Louis, he might skip the option.
Should he choose to be called King George, the little prince will be the seventh monarch with the George name, CNN reports.
Although the little prince is destined for greatness, he was only recently told of his future role. According to the New York Post, Prince George was first told he would be King one day on his seventh birthday. Prince William and Kate, have been open about the fact that they want their children to have a normal childhood as possible, Marie Claire reports.
As for Prince William, the next King of Britain, he can choose between three names – William, Arthur, Philip, and Louis.
