FEATURES BUYERS ARE LOOKING FOR WHEN BUYING A NEW PROPERTY

Despite the economic crisis and the effects of load shedding, the property market is seemingly still on the up and up. But, if you are trying to sell your property and are struggling to do so, a new survey done by Pam Golding may help shed some light on the problem.

According to the survey, property buyers are favouring property with energy-saving features.

“Given the severity of load shedding, the most popular ‘green’ feature buyers are currently looking for is solar, with more than a third (35.4%) of all votes,” says Dr Andrew Golding, chief executive of the Pam Golding Property group.

“This was followed by boreholes and JoJo tanks, which is a pertinent reminder that water remains an issue in much of the country,” he added.

Alternative power and water storage is an absolute must. Especially considering it increases the resell value of a property.
