Disney in the sky, with SA’s Lift Airline!

Passengers flying with Lift Airline will be part of its special Disney Holiday feature as it sports the famous imagery on its aircraft.

Disney images will appear in the South African skies on routes served by Lift Airline.

Lift Airline flies between Johannesburg, Durban, and Cape Town. The carrier has decked one of its planes out with images of Disney characters, just ahead of the holiday season.

A DISNEY COLLABORATION

This campaign is as a result of a collaboration between The Walt Disney Company Africa and SA’s Lift Airline.

The collaboration has transformed Lift’s aircraft into a colourful eye-catching flying machine.

The ‘May Your Wishes Come True’ campaign launches with a branded aircraft that will travel on some of Lift airline’s flights between Johannesburg, Durban, and Cape Town.

Lift CEO Jonathan Ayache said, “As a beloved family brand, Disney is a perfect fit for LIFT. With our new livery, together we celebrate the love, magic and family togetherness that signals the festive season. We’re proud to link arms with Disney, through this collaboration, our hope is to ignite a sense of fun, wonder and excitement for the whole family during the upcoming season of school holidays and family celebrations.”

LIFT LIVERY

One of Lift’s aircraft (registration ZS-GAS) features some images of Disney’s most well-known characters.

The livery features some of the most iconic and memorable characters from Disney, Marvel and Star Wars, including: Mickey and Minnie Mouse, Moana, Black Panther, Grogu, Elsa, Spidey.

DISNEY ANNIVERSARY

Senior Vice President and General Manager of The Walt Disney Company Africa, Christine Service, said that the purpose of the collaboration with Lift is to celebrate the fans and storytellers who have sparked the joy and magic that embodies Disney over the last century.

They celebrated its 100th anniversary last week. This campaign comes right after the company celebrated its centennial anniversary.

FESTIVE FUN

While the Lift plane’s exterior may be eye-catching, the company promises customers that their flights will include a couple of surprises too.  

“On board, customers can expect special Disney and LIFT surprises, as well as kiddies activity packs to make flying with little ones a breeze during the busy holiday season, with giveaways and more treats. The excitement won’t stop there, because LIFT has additional surprises between 1 and 12 December for lucky travelers on select flights, as South Africans get ready for the festive season.” The airline said, per Twitter.
