The head of the brand at Brutal Fruit Spritzer, Candice van den Bosch explained the concept behind the pop-up bar. She reportedly shared that the SheBeen concept derives from their brand’s You Belong campaign which seeks to promote women’s joy, belonging and freedom.
MORE ABOUT THE LAUNCH
The RockerFella venue in Molapo, Soweto has been transformed into a lush and glamorous space for women’s month, Glamour Magazine reported. Candice van den Bosch reportedly added that the pop-up bar was about creating a beautiful and comfortable space for women to let their hair down.
“We want women to come here and feel free. We want to make women feel special during National Women’s Month… This space is just a pop-up so it will only be available in August from Thursdays to Sundays,” van den Bosch was quoted as saying.

She reportedly also shared the organisation’s future plans to talk about SheBeen’s compliance to partner with SAB. They are reportedly planning to develop a scorecard criteria for all outlets throughout Mzansi to comply with in order to cater for a safe space for women. They believe that having single-sex-only bathrooms, mounting CCTV cameras, having security on stand-by, and having indoor/outdoor lighting will help reach this goal.
