WP Rugby has confirmed that they will play their next two home Currie Cup matches against the Pumas and Lions at Athlone Stadium.
The Stormers will host their second successive URC ‘Grand Final’, which kicks off at 18:30 on Saturday, 27 May. They will be up against Irish side Munster as they look to defend their United Rugby Championship title in what would be another historic achievement.

One of the enduring talking points in Cape Town, however, has been the state of the DHL Stadium pitch surface – which has been loose underfoot and particularly made the scrum battle a complete lottery.
Thankfully, there is a two-week gap between the semi-final and final to allow for extra work to ensure the pitch is as good as possible for the final.
And as a result of the decision to preserve the pitch for the URC final, it has been confirmed that the Western Province Currie Cup team will play their next two games — on 19 and 26 May — at the Athlone Stadium.
