Alcaraz feels great ahead of the third major of the year and has promised an aggressive approach.
“I’ve had a couple of practices here and I’m feeling great,” beamed the 20-year-old Spaniard in a pre-tournament press conference.

“I always say that I try to play aggressive all the time. That’s always my style. That’s the most important thing on grass: to be aggressive, to try to go to the net, trying to hit big shots. So I feel full of energy and I really want to play my first match here.”
“I don’t feel too much pressure about being No.1,” said Alcaraz. “I don’t think about it much. I know what I have to do – play my best, try to win tournaments. But if I would not do that, for me it doesn’t matter.”

CONFIDENCE IN SPADES
Alcaraz is confident that he will be able to find a way to put players under pressure on a surface that he hasn’t had the most experience on.
“My expectations are high,” he stated unequivocally. “Winning Queen’s, I feel great playing at such a level. The confidence grew up a lot, thinking that I’m able to do good results here.

“Obviously for me the main favourite is Djokovic. He does everything really, really easy. He moves really well. He hits the ball really clearly. He has clean shot. It’s really tough to find some weakness on his game.
“I think I will be able to put the pressure on the other players – even Djokovic. All I can say is I feel a lot of confidence and ready to do good things here.”
