Western Cape Premier, Alan Winde, today sent wishes for a speedy recovery to both his fellow premiers who have also been diagnosed positive for COVID-19, David Makhura of Gauteng and Job Mokgoro of North West.
“I am sending my wishes for a speedy recovery to Premiers David Makhura of Gauteng and Job Mokgoro of North West province. I hope you are both safe and well during this time,” said Winde on Twitter. Makhura announced today that he had the virus.
Winde, who was the first of the three to state publicly two days ago that he was diagnosed positive, said today that he was feeling better. “I would like to firstly express my sincere appreciation for all the well wishes I’ve received – I’m grateful for every single message. Having had a good rest yesterday, my doctor is pleased with my progress in fighting the virus.”
Mokgoro checked into hospital yesterday to quarantine after being diagnosed positive.
