SEVERE WEATHER ALERTS
IMPACT-BASED WARNINGS:
A. Yellow Level 1 Warning: Waves resulting in difficulty in navigation at sea for small vessels and person watercraft are expected between Cape Columbine and Cape Agulhas from Wednesday evening. These waves and the potential impacts are expected to spread to Plettenberg Bay and Alexander Bay on Thursday morning, subsiding from late afternoon.
FIRE DANGER WARNINGS:

ADVISORIES:
An intense Cut-Off Low pressure system is expected to affect the Western Cape and Namakwa District (Northern Cape) on Saturday and Sunday. The public and small stock farmers are advised that disruptive rain, damaging winds, damaging waves, storm surge, disruptive snow and very cold conditions can be expected (29-30/07/2023).

GAUTENG
Temperature: Partly cloudy and cool.
The expected UVB Sunburn Index: High.
MPUMALANGA
Temperature: Morning fog over the Highveld and escarpment, otherwise partly cloudy and cold to cool, but warm over the Lowveld.
LIMPOPO
Temperature: Morning fog over the central parts, otherwise cloudy and cool to warm, becoming partly cloudy in the south by the afternoon.
NORTH WEST
Temperature: Partly cloudy and cool to warm.
FREE STATE
Temperature: Partly cloudy and cold to cool with isolated to scattered showers in the south.
NORTHERN CAPE
Temperature: Partly cloudy and cold to cool but cold in the south with isolated to scattered showers in the south but scattered in the south-west.
Wind: – The wind along the coast will be fresh to strong south- easterly become light to moderate north-westerly by the evening.

WESTERN CAPE
Temperature: Cloudy to partly cloudy and cold to cool with isolated showers and thundershowers over the northern interior.
Wind: The wind along the coast will be light to variable, becoming moderate to fresh north-westerly by the evening along the south-west coast but south-westerly along the south-coast.
The expected UVB Sunburn Index: Low.
EASTERN CAPE
The Western half: Fine and warm but cool along the coast and adjacent interior, becoming cloudy with isolated showers and thundershowers in places in the north.
The Western half – Wind: The wind along the coast will be light north-westerly, becoming light to moderate south westerly from the afternoon.
The Eastern half: Fine and warm with isolated showers and thundershowers, excluding the extreme eastern parts, but scattered in the north-west.
The Eastern half – Wind: The wind along the coast will be light and variable, becoming moderate south-westerly tonight.
KWAZULU-NATAL
Temperature: Partly cloudy in the north-east with fog over the northern interior, otherwise fine and warm.
Wind: The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh north- easterly.
The expected UVB Sunburn Index: High.
