THE RAP LEGEND LIVES ON
As the president of the Tupac Amaru Shakur Foundation, Sekyiwa shared heartfelt memories of her brother. During her speech, she was holding back tears. She spoke about his early dreams of being celebrated with a star in Hollywood. She recounted how Tupac knew from a young age that he was destined for greatness. He always harboured the dream of having his star on the famous walkway.
The Hollywood Walk of Fame had chosen Tupac to receive a star back in 2013, but they patiently waited for the family and estate to select a date for the ceremony. Finally, on this special day, the 2,758th star was unveiled. It commemorates the influential artist’s mark on the music industry and the world.
