Tshwane announces an 8-HOUR water supply shutdown
The City of Tshwane has been notified about a planned water supply shutdown in parts of Tshwane including Waterkloof and Brooklyn which will have intermittent water supply on Wednesday for eight hours
The City of Tshwane has announced its plans to upgrade its water supply network this week, which will interrupted water supply in a few areas.
The maintenance and upgrade are expected to go on for eight hours between 8am and 4pm on Wednesday, 21 February.

- Alphen Park
- Brooklyn
- Garsfontein 374-JR
- Hazelwood
- Maroelana
- Maroelana Extension 3
- Waterkloof
- Crown Mews
- Nazereth House
- Waterkloof Place
- Waterkloof Prmary School

In an effort to conserve water, the city has requested that residents adhere to the following guidelines.
- Refrain from watering gardens with hosepipes or sprinkler systems between 6:00 and 18:00.
- Avoid vehicle washing with hosepipes.
- No filling of swimming pools during the maintenance period.
- Install low-flow shower heads and tap aerators.
- Use dual-flush toilet cisterns.
- Plant indigenous or drought-resistant shrubs.
- Utilise rainwater for garden irrigation or car washing.
- Use a broom instead of a hosepipe for cleaning.
- Close taps while brushing teeth or shaving.
