A 13-year-old boy reportedly shot dead eight pupils and a security guard at a school in Serbia on Wednesday, 3 May.

According to CNN, the teenager planned the attack.

He allegedly sketched out the attack in advance on crumpled pieces of paper and called the police himself after the shootings,

Seven girls and one boy were killed, alongside the security guard. Several others were injured.

HE USED HIS FATHER’S GUNS

It was said that the boy used two licensed handguns belonging to his father and two petrol bombs.

“The parent had several pieces of weapon and kept them locked up. The safe had a code. Obviously the kid had the code as soon as he managed to get hold of those two guns. And three frames full of 15 bullets each,” the report quoted Serbia’s interior minister, Bratislav Gasic as saying.

FATHER TO BE CHARGED FOR HIS SON’S ACTIONS

The Independent reported that the father would be charged over the shooting but not his son, who was below the legal age of criminal responsibility.

Affected parents expressed their emotions.

One parent of a girl who survived said that he saw the guard lying under the table.

“She managed to escape. [The assailant] …first shot the teacher and then he started shooting randomly,” he told broadcaster N1.

“I saw the security guard lying under the table. I saw two girls with blood on their shirts,” said the parent.
