VOLGOGRAD, RUSSIA – Russian medical specialists are being sent to South Africa to help battle COVID-19.
The medical team has been ordered to go to South Africa by Russia’s President Vladimir Putin, following a request from South Africa’s President Cyril Ramaphosa.
The Russian Emergency Situations Ministry today photographed a mobile sanitary and hygienic laboratory being loaded onto its Ilyushin Il-76 plane, before departing for SA.
The plane is carrying specialists of the “Russian Federal Service for Surveillance on Consumer Rights Protection and Human Wellbeing (Rospotrebnadzor)”, said Reuters.
