The Correctional Service Parole Board (CSPB) on Friday announced that Oscar Pistorius has been denied parole and an early release from prison.

Pistorius was jailed for the murder of his girlfriend, Reeva Steenkamp, on Valentine’s Day in 2013.
Having served more than half his 13 years and five months sentence, the now 36-year-old was eligible for parole.

However, the parole board elected not to grant the South African Paralympian an early release, instead opting to consider his application again in August 2024.
