Mzwanele Manyi is joining Parliament as EFF MP

A month after announcing that he had joined the Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) as a rank-and-file party member, Mzwanele Manyi, is on the verge of being sworn in as a member of parliament.

EFF SENDS MANYI TO PARLIAMENT

On 5 May, Manyi announced that he had left the African Transformation Movement (ATM) and joined the EFF “to make a contribution in freeing South Africa from neo-colonialism; rampant corruption; and to rescue the country from the imminent failed state situation.”

In a government gazette dated 5 June, Manyi was one of the individuals on the EFF’s list of candidates to be sworn in as Members of Parliament (MPs). Manyi was part of the national list.

As previously reported, Manyi said he hoped to build a bridge between the ATM and EFF after switching allegiance.

“South Africa is fast deteriorating into a failed state. It, therefore, needs a shock treatment from an organisation whose posture is revolutionary.

“The EFF being the 3rd largest party in South Africa, is well poised to take over from the ANC quicker than any other party. The EFF is the real alternative that everyone has been asking about,” said Manyi.
