LEVERN JOSE DROPS OUT OF MISS SA
Levern José, who was accused of bullying decided to drop out of the pageant on the latest episode of Crown Chasers which aired on Sunday 23 July.
“There was a shock announcement at the end of this week’s episode when finalist Levern Jose make the decision to leave the competition for personal reasons, meaning that no contestant was voted out,” read a statement from the Miss SA Organisation following the episode.
In the episode, Levern opened up about the accusations of bullying levelled against her on Twitter.
“I have been a victim of bullying throughout primary school, throughout high school. But I’m a survivor and today I’ve survived cyber bullying. And that is my story,” she said.
“Today I’m being trolled on Twitter by apparently eight accounts. (I) don’t even know if those eight accounts have eight different individuals. Cyber bullyingis a real thing. Cancel culture is also a real thing,” she continued.

WHAT WAS SAID ABOUT THE FINALIST?
As previously reported by The South African, a Twitter user who goes by the handle @AnelisaJu, claimed that Levern was once a bully.
“I was shocked to learn you made it to the top 12 in Miss South competition. One of the girls you used to bully at school spoke out about what you and your gang of mean girls did to her on her WhatsApp status. You are truly a horrible person,” read the tweet.
