So far Chiefs have announced, Thathayoane Ditlhokwe, Given Msimango, Mduduzi Mdantsane, Edson Castillo, Pule Mmodi, Ranga Chivaviro and Tebogo Potsane.
Now in order to manage the squad, Chiefs have also seen the likes of Eric Mathoho, Siyabonga Ngezana, Phathutshedzo Nange, Cole Alexander, Khama Billiat and Austin Dube all leaving Naturena. Now Mathoho was the first one out of the club with the Amakhosi management throwing their club legend a fitting farewell at the end of the last season.

Amakhosi had often used the likes Edmilson Dove, Zitha Kwinika and Siyabonga Ngezana as regular centre back options last season. The likes of Njabulo Ngcobo, Dube and Mathoho were nothing but bit part players for the club during the previous season. Now out of the list of fringe centre backs, Ngcobo is the only one that has survived while Dube has re-signed for Richards Bay in a two-year deal.

Now this publication reported some encouraging news and movement on the side of Mathoho, as last week, he was reportedly spotted training with SuperSport United, and even playing in a friendly game for them. It seemed as if, he was about to receive a lifeline from his former coach at Chiefs, Gavin Hunt, under whom he was a regular. But now in an unexpected turn of events, it looks as if the lanky defender might not be signed after all.
MATHOHO NO LONGER AT SUPERSPORT?
“From what I know, he is no longer training with SuperSport. When the team went to Durban now, he did not go with them.” A source confirmed to Soccer-Laduma.
