Samir Nurkovic, a former striker for Kaizer Chiefs and Royal AM, continues training with Raja Club Athletic, according to head coach Josef Zinnbauer.
Zinnbauer provided confirmation of Nurkovic’s presence to iDiski Times.

FORMER KAIZER CHIEFS STAR TURNS UP AT RAJA
The 31-year-old Nurkovic is presently a free agent after being let go by Royal AM in October of last year, despite the fact that he is still engaged in legal proceedings with his former employers.

After the 2022–2023 season ended, he then turned up Cape Town City for a trial, but the Citizens decided not to sign him and instead chose to acquire Joaquim Cristovao Paciencia from GD Interclube.
NURKOVIC TRAINING WITH NORTH AFRICAN GIANTS

Nurkovic has been with the Raja camp for almost two weeks and participated in their most recent friemdly match last Friday against the Qatari team Al Sadd.
“He is still in training with us and we will continue to monitor him,” Zinnbauer is quoted as saying by iDiski Times.
“We are currently in preparations for the Arab Club Championship and he is still with us.”
RAJA TO CONSIDER SIGNING FORMER KAIZER CHIEFS STAR
Raja will play Algeria’s champions CR Belouizdad at 15:00 on Friday 28 July to open the group stages of the Arab Cup.
They also include Kuwait SC and Al Wahda who are coached by Pitso Mosimane.
HIRING AND RECRUITING GOES ON
In addition to hiring Fadlu Davids and Darian Wilken as his assistant coaches, the recently appointed Zinnbauer has also recruited former Mamelodi Sundowns player Haashim Domingo.
The former Orlando Pirates boss doesn’t appear set to shy away from recruiting from the PSL.
