FIVE REASONS FOR KAIZER CHIEFS FANS TO BE HOPEFUL
NEW SIGNINGS COMING
Aside from the confirmed arrival of Thatayaone Ditlhokwe, the club will surely spend money to appease fans and try to bridge the gap between them and the top two. A club of this stature simply has no choice.
CHIEFS HAVE A DECENT SPINE
Along with the much-improved Siyabonga Ngezana and new man Thatayaone Ditlhokwe, there are plenty of talented players who make up the central spine of the team. That includes Samkelo Zwane, Mdu Shabalala, and Ashley Du Preez. The club still desperately needs a new long-term solution in the goalkeeping department though.
ICYMI: Three players Kaizer Chiefs MUST build their future around
MDU SHABALALA WILL BE A YEAR OLDER
Still, only 19, a lot is already expected of Mduduzi Shabalala. He’s been exposed to a lot of first-team football this season and shone in a new number-10 role. Nothing fazed this guy, which is just as well, because the expectations on his shoulders are about to become heavier.
KAIZER CHIEFS SHOULD BE BETTER DEFENSIVELY
With Thatayaone Ditlhokwe arriving and Siyabonga Ngezana looking like a new man, the basis is there for a solid central defensive partnership to get the season going in a better fashion.
MAYBE ZWANE WILL BE GONE?
We joke, and it’s unlikely to happen, but a lot of fans would like this to become a reality. Whether or not it does remains to be seen.
ICYMI: Proof that this Kaizer Chiefs star really played for Pirates
