Sowetan published that Motaung denied the reports that the skillful attacker is not happy with the new tabled offer and terms but opted to say the talks are all about a new contract offer.
Billiat’s contract expired on June 30 and with the club having announced seasoned gloveman, Itumeleng Khune is staying for another season last week, many people expected the club to also provide an update on Billiat’s future.

“I don’t know that Billiat is refusing to accept a reduced package. Khama is negotiating a new contract with the club since his contract has expired,” Motaung told Sowetan.
“It’s not a salary cut that’s being negotiated. A salary cut happens when somebody is earning so much and the employer cuts his salary.

“The negotiations are ongoing and we hope he stays but we don’t know what will come out of the negotiations at the end of the day.”
Meanwhile, Billiat’s future has seriously divided Chiefs fans and some legends feel he must go because he has not delivered since his arrival back in 2018.

Maphosa preferred to say their camp is closed to the media and they will issue a statement when they feel it is necessary to do so.
“When there is movement of a player or a conclusion of negotiations, we will do an announcement. Camp is closed doors and we will only do post reporting of the camp,” Maphosa told The South African.
In addition, the 32-year-old is hoping to receive a better from North African or Saudi Arabian clubs as he attracted interest from the two regions.
