Does anyone know anyone who works at uShaka Marine World and could help make a dream come true for a group of orphaned and vulnerable kids from Gauteng?
The children and the staff, from Winnie Mabaso Foundation, are “mega excited” to be heading to Durban in March for the first time in their lives, thanks to funds donated by a financial institution from Switzerland. It’ll be the first time they ever set eyes on the beach and the ocean!
And British founder of Winnie Mabaso, Lisa Ashton, would love to spoil them with a trip to uShaka Marine World…but so far her emails have not been answered (perhaps they went to spam).
Lisa says: “We have lots of treats in store including a day with my friends, the inspirational Tom Hewitt and Bulelwa Ngantweni-Hewitt and their team at Surfers Not Street Children. I’ve been trying to get a good deal at uShaka Marine World but nobody responds to my emails. Don’t suppose any of you have a contact there – or can recommend an activity for us to treat the girls to whilst we are in Durban? Thanks! #mabasolove x”
So if you know any ideas on how we could help make dreams come true for these young girls who haven’t had the best start in life – please let us know – either email admin@sapeople.com or info@winniemabaso.org
